This high-quality, exquisitely produced book is a celebration of the work of acclaimed equine artist Alister Simpson. Presenting a cross-section of his work, from sketches to watercolours and oils, it reveals the depth of his talent and the breadth of his style. Racehorses featured include Phar Lap, Makybe Diva, Brew, Mahogany, Octagonal and Sunline, to name just a few, while all the excitement of race day is also captured in scenes painted trackside. But Alister is not just at home on the racetrack. A Brush with Horses also includes artworks of mares and foals, horses galloping through streams and across fields, and on the polo field. This is a collection that will appeal to all who love this most noble of animals.
