Don Schmidt knows his name has changed from Stanley, and he believes he had a sister and she died of scarlet fever when she was fifteen but these and other details of Don's life don't quite add up. Jacques Couvillon (Koo-vee-on) grew up in a town similar to the one described in Chicken Dance. The youngest of eight children he had plenty of inspiration for his quirky characters. He now divides his time between Switzerland Louisiana and New York City.
