Conditions of entry
Eligibility
- Open to writers aged 13 to 18.
- Stories must be original and not previously published or placed (i.e. winning or commended in another competition).
Submission Information
- Entries must be in Word Document format (that is doc or docx format).
- Please include a separate cover page document with your name, age and contact details.
- Your entries must be a maximum of 1500 words, written on an A4 document in Arial font, 12 point, double spaced with numbered pages. The file name must be the story title.
- Please email your story to info@pageandblackmore.co.nz

Te Tauihu Short Story Awards 2022
run by the NZSA (Top of the South Branch)
Judges this year: Renee and Hana Mereraiha
The inaugural Te Tauihu Short Story Awards invites entries written in either English or te reo Māori.
Open to all writers living in New Zealand.
Prizes for Te Reo Māori and English Sections:
1st Prizes $1,000 cash (plus $125 book vouchers)
2nd Prizes $500 cash (plus $75 book vouchers)
3rd Prizes $300 cash (plus $50 book vouchers)
Entries close 31 May 2022, with shortlist released in mid June and winners announced 30 June 2022.
